Its been a busy few days with a trip up to Vail, some powder shredding and the celebration of Michaela’s 18th birthday last night.
On Monday we rode the biggest amount of powder we have had to date, about 4-5 inches of fresh snow. We headed up nice and early, much to Will’s disgust; he got some times mixed up and thought he had more time for his 3rd bowl of Honey bunch of oats. Poor Will!
Once we made it to the hill we decided it was definitley a free ride day. We rode the steeps and deeps all day shredding the fresh white stuff with Jarrod and Pelley going head to head up front for fresh, the boys all enjoyed it and for some it was the most powder they have ever ridden.
On Tuesday the park was perfect and sunny again, we trained all day with the big boys putting together runs on the big line early and everyone else making there comp runs consistent for this weekends first round of competitions.
Yesterday we went up to Vail to test conditions for this weekends Gatorade event. Unfortunately the course was not built and the jumps we rode were sub-standard and took 1 Daniel Kleins brain cells for the day.
Tim was the stand out and still made his tricks gold but everyone else took it easy and rode all the awesome rails they had. In the afternoon we were joined by good friends Nick and Miles while we toured the mountain. Vail is an awesome free-ride mountain but Breck still has the best parks.
Last night half the team headed out for dinner for Michaela’s 18th birthday at Steak and Ribs, was a yummy dinner and good to see some old friends. Check the photos’
Today we took the day off to rest up for the next 3 day with Saturday’s competitions coming up. Movie’s shopping and Japanese food were the order of the day. Stay tuned for the latest photos in the gallery.
