With the Dew tour on and it getting closer to Christmas we decided to take Saturday off and get away from the super busy lines that had plagued Breck on Friday, it was time for a bit of RNR and a movie. Decampo had first mentioned to me when he got in to town how much he wanted to see Avatar so we all decided to head down to the Dillon cinema for the 3D movie starring Aussie Sam Worthington. We all loved the movie and after some Chipoelie mexican we all headed home to relax while coach Andy headed out on the town for a night off sporting his 3D glasses, apparently the ladies at the Dew Party loved the new look.
With the crowds that the weekend bring we headed up early for jumps training on Breck yesterday. We were first out and had the park to ourselves for the first hour. Everyone was pumping to be back on snow after the days rest and everyone was riding strong. Unfortuantly too strong for Michaela and Ben both coming unstuck and sustaining some minor injuries. Big props to Lawrence who landed his first 720 just before his 16th birthday which is on Tuesday..
As the crowds arrived we decided to head down to Woodward again for the afternoon session. We met up with Robbie, Scotty James and our old friend Belmore. Everyone had an awesome time, with Declan learning some doubles on the tramp along with Leons. Bens ankle was playing up so he decided to skate the bowl with Pelley and Will enjoyed some time on the mini ramp. It was awesome to see Robbie having his first jumps in to the foam pit, he is definitely going to be getting some new tricks from his time training on the dry slope.
Today we were out early again, Scotty J joined us before catching his flight back to Oz for Christmas, it was awesome to see him and Tim going trick for trick on cab spins, Tim spinning some sick Cab 9′s off the first hit with Scotty working on Cab 10′s on the 3rd hit. Declan was also benefiting from his new setup (also celebrating turning 14 last week), linking his solid comp run consisting of, cab 1 to backside and frontside 360′s on the main line. Tomorrow we are hoping for snow that will lead right up to Christmas, stay tuned for the next update.
