After some perfect park weather during the week, as if on cue, that annoying trying-to-snow weather came in for the first day of the Dew Tour at Breckenridge. Robbie Walker was out early to compete in the slopestyle against all the worlds who’s who of double corks. We all took a cruisy day to show out support for Robbie setting up camp on the side of the course, but I’d be lying if I didn’t say we were a tad worried when we watch Halldor Helgason drop a double cork 1080 on his last hit…
But Robbie is no slouch. He’s only been back on snow a few day but managed to put down a super competitive run of backside 9 to cab 9 to front 7. He scraped through in 10th place to move through into the semi finals.
We’ll be out at midday tomorrow to watch Robbie ride for the finals. The weather should be good so with a little luck, we’ll bring you his (winning) run.
